Basalite · Retaining Wall Systems
Geowall is the engineered, large-scale retaining wall system in the Basalite range — a large-format split-face block designed for structural retaining applications. This is the kind of wall that holds back genuine grade change on hillside lots, road cuts, building pads, and terraced developments, as shown in the photographs. The unit is heavier and larger than a garden wall block, and the system is intended for taller walls and higher soil loads than a seat wall product.
This is the system specified on commercial, civil, and multifamily projects as well as on steep residential lots, and Paradise Building Materials supplies contractors on projects of that scale with forklift delivery across the region. The three colors — Gray, Tan, and Tan Brown — all carry a split-face texture. Applications are hillside stabilisation, terraced grade changes, building pad retention, road and driveway cuts, multifamily and commercial site work, and large residential retaining walls.
The photographs show terraced multi-tier installations, which is the characteristic Geowall application: rather than one very tall wall, grade is taken up in a series of stepped tiers with planting between them. This approach is both structurally sound and visually appealing, breaking up a large grade change into manageable, landscaped steps.
Structural retaining walls require engineering. Wall height and reinforcement requirements depend on site conditions, soil type, and surcharge loads, and projects should involve a qualified engineer. Contact the yard to discuss your project and we will coordinate with your engineer on specifications.
