Basalite Mod-7 is a large-format modern slab paver designed for contemporary outdoor living spaces. The defining characteristic of this line is its large unit size — fewer, bigger pieces mean far fewer joint lines across a surface than a standard brick-format paver, producing a calm, minimal, almost monolithic plane. This is the visual difference that defines the line and the reason to choose it over a traditional multi-piece pattern.
The three colors — crisp white (Hampton), mid-gray (Manhattan), and warm cream (Newport) — are deliberately restrained. This is the line for modern and mid-century homes, not for Mediterranean or traditional styles where Italian Renaissance or Artisan Cobblestone would suit better. Large-format units are also commonly laid with wide open joints filled with turf, gravel, or ground cover to create a floating-plank walkway — a popular contemporary detail that softens the hard surface and adds greenery between the slabs.
Applications include patios, terraces, pool decks, walkways, and courtyards — primarily pedestrian and residential areas.
